Q&A questions are answered using the best data and assumptions available from current research along with our staff’s best opinions.

Q: WHO OWNS ULTIMATE DATA WATCH?

A: UDW is a privately held LLC. We are presently in a privately funded Round B capital raise to launch the platform and consummate some of the health provider partnerships currently in negotiation. It is our intention to make some ownership of the company available to the public in round D.

Q: HOW OLD IS THE COMPANY?

A: The LLC was filed in 2017 the year when we started research and development.

Q: WHY ARE YOU USING THE APPLE AND ANDROID WATCHES?

A: Good question! We originally weren’t going to. We spent two years and a lot of time and money on R&D to build our own technology. We researched sensors and software programs extensively and learned a great deal about the different types and quality. When we were done, we were told that the prototype would take a lot of time and millions to develop with no guarantee of quality and serviceability.

During that time the Health Kits on Apple and Android advanced exponentially and we found they could fill 90% of our needs then, now 96% our needs, with thousands of service centers available to immediately service or replace our devices.

There have been hundreds of millions of dollars already spent and much more will be available for future R&D. We have reviewed extensive established proof of concept data being used by many different research and virtual program supporters.

We also were attracted by the idea that no one would know the UDW Patient was being monitored – it wouldn’t be like wearing an ankle bracelet or arm patch – it’s just a watch and everybody is wearing them.

UDW also integrates and applies many other features of these wearables provide besides biomarker monitoring like telephone emergency support, GPS to locate the patient, two way data exchange, live video.

We see using pre-existing Apple and Android watches as a win-win, offering multi-billion dollar support for the wearable technology while powering our innovative multi-featured Provider-Patient interface.

Q: HOW ADAPTABLE IS UDW TO MULTIPLE TECHNOLOGY INTERFACE?

A: Ultimate Data Watch LLC is a unique application-based virtual healthcare AI-driven monitoring and reporting system, over four years in development, that applies   proprietary augmented intelligence algorithms to streaming biomarker data from Apple Watch sensors and/or from multiple Android device sensors, then analyzes and displays that data on a proprietary Physician-User Interface (UX) screen with primary goals of improving provider/patient communications reducing costs, improving outcomes, lowering hospitalizations, and enhancing the patient/ physician experience across a broad range of healthcare populations including urban and rural.

Q: IS UDW HIPAA COMPLIANT?

A: The data retrieved from the watch will be fully encrypted and will meet all state and federal guidelines for privacy including HIPAA and FDA. Ultimate Data Watch will store the historical data securely offline and we can make it available to researchers worldwide under appropriate restrictions and safeguards. Because these data streams along with self-reports are both sensitive and difficult to fully anonymize, they are not placed in a publicly-accessible repository. We will make data available to outside researchers in accordance with terms approved by participants. Our consent form is modeled on the language used by all major health care research networks.

Q: WHY IS “JUST-IN-TIME ADAPTIVE INTERVENTION” IMPORTANT?

A: In addition to better serving the needs of both doctors and patients in non-critical interactions such as routine virtual health exams/visits, the UDW system offers Just-In-Time Adaptive Intervention with the ability to use both sensor and digital data, displaying both clinical and behavioral markers, to detect and analyze and report critical events involving medication levels, alcohol consumption, diabetes and obesity, the use of legal and illegal drugs, and other potentially critical and life-threatening events.

When a person with an alcohol or another substance dependency wearing this watch relapses and takes a drink or uses drugs the watch will notify their sponsor as well as anyone else approved and designated by the client such as their physician and spouse/partner. Overdoses will also be detected and emergency services will automatically be called both by the watch and also by our Augmented Intelligence monitoring system.

UDW operates on the principle that self-awareness is the basis for all successful behavioral change, and the recognition by medical science that behavioral change motivated by individual self-awareness is the gold standard for recovery and health.

The individual’s medical record will be synced with the watch allowing medical first responders to provide the necessary lifesaving treatments by accessing a coded password – this will be done without violating HIPAA regulations. This product can save a lot of lives – from professionals to street people, Veterans and civilians, young and old, addicts, alcoholics and the gravely ill.

Q: WHAT ARE THE MAIN UDW BENEFITS FOR PROVIDERS?

A: The Ultimate Data Watch platform will lower costs in time and money for providers and patients and provide better real-time and historical data tracking and monitoring of chronic and acute issues, creating measurably better outcomes by creating a data-rich environment that replaces the ‘best-guess’ restrictions created by limited actionable patient information from today’s virtual & in-office health technology options to an optimized decision-making ecosystem.

Q: ARE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS INVOLVED IN UDW?

A: We are developing this program in collaboration with influential medical professionals in each of our areas of concentration; for example, our Board Member and Medical Advisor Andrew Mendenhall MD is the Medical Director of Central City Concern and is a leading Addiction/Substance Abuse manager, treatment provider, and researcher. UDW will be available only through health care providers, and the Physician UX can be customized to meet specialized data display needs required by any medical specialty.

We believe the UDW system will save costs and improve outcomes from General Medicine to Specialty practices with special relevance to addiction/alcoholism, obesity and diabetes through the system’s emphasis on building strong data-based interpersonal relationships in both virtual and office visits that will result in demonstrably better outcomes.

Q: HOW DOES UDW PROVIDE BETTER DATA?

A: During a routine Virtual or on-site Health exam/visit, the UltimateDataWatch provides the physician with streaming real-time data from the patient as well as historical data from selected time segments. Virtual visits will not have to rely on patient recall or reporting selectivity as in the past, and by adjusting the data display the physician will be better able to detect historical patterns, trends and past events – an ability that will be enhanced by augmented intelligence capabilities built into the data display. Within one minute of pulling up a UDW screen at the beginning of a patient interaction a clinician will know more about the patient’s current and past health status that could be determined by 30 minutes of interviewing and asking questions. This allows physician and patient to hit the ground running and use the valuable, limited time available to drill down to data that matters and reach meaningful decisions in that short time.

This will empower the Physician with a data-rich environment leading directly to better communication, better outcomes, lower costs, decreased hospitalizations and greater patient satisfaction. An important consideration in designing this Physician’s User Interface (UX) has been designing to enhance communication and interpersonal interaction from both sides of the screen – the data is displayed for the physician in a way that personal eye contact can be maintained with the patient and information is shared in a virtual environment designed to enhance both patient satisfaction and better clinical outcomes.

Q: HOW CAN THE UDW SYSTEM HELP THE MEDICAL PROFESSION?

A: Ultimate Data Watch LLC is a new application-based virtual healthcare AI-driven monitoring and reporting system, over four years in development, that applies proprietary augmented intelligence algorithms to streaming biomarker data from Apple Watch sensors and/or from multiple Android device sensors, then analyzes and displays that data on a proprietary Physician-User Interface (UX) screen with primary goals of improving provider/patient communications reducing costs, improving outcomes, lowering hospitalizations, and enhancing the patient/ physician experience and providing greater follow-up across a broad range of healthcare populations including urban and rural.

Q: WHAT DOES AMA SEE AS THE FUTURE FOR VIRTUAL HEALTH?

A: A recent (6/2020) AMA study notes: “Before COVID-19 shut down the United States, telehealth accounted for an estimated $3 billion in direct costs, according to a May 29 report from McKinsey & Company Health Care Systems & Services, “Telehealth: A quarter-trillion-dollar post-COVID-19 reality?” In actuality current (7/21) projections show a $1 Trillion+ market by 2024.
